6/28/2006 -- Last week Oracle Corp. launched three new certifications for its line of E-Business 11i suite of applications.

The new titles are:

• Oracle 11i Financials Consultant
• Oracle 11i Supply Chain Consultant
• Oracle 11i Applications Technology Administrator

All of the new credentials require candidates to pass three Oracle exams. The Financials and the Supply Chain titles offer track options for candidates. Financial Consultant candidates can choose between Payables or Receivables, and the Supply Chain candidates can choose between Purchasing or Order Management.

Eventually, these certifications will also require candidates to attend an Oracle University hands-on learning course; however, that requirement has been waived through May 2007.

Several of the exams for these new titles are currently available in beta format for $50 (U.S) at Prometric testing centers worldwide. Those who pass the betas will receive credit toward their chosen E-Business 11i certification.
