Cisco Launches Storage Specialties

6/29/2004 -- Last week Cisco added two new storage titles to its suite of Qualified Specialist credentials: Cisco Storage Networking Design Specialist and Cisco Storage Networking Support Specialist.

The titles cover Cisco MDS 9000 Series Multilayer Directors and Switches, Cisco MDS 9509 Director Switch, Cisco 9216 Fabric Switch, and Cisco MDS 9120 products, the company said.

To become a Storage Design Specialist, candidates must first hold a Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) or a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) then pass one exam: Cisco Storage Networking Design Specialist (CSNDS, 642-351). Objectives for this exam can be found here.

To become a Storage Networking Support Specialist, candidates must earn the CCNA then pass the new Cisco Storage Networking Support Specialist exam (CSNSS, 642-352). Objectives for this exam can be found here.

Both exams are live and available worldwide at Pearson Vue and Prometric testing centers worldwide.
