Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine Shows Incredible Readership Growth in Recent CIMS v10.0 Study

Irvine, CA--October 14, 2003. Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine, the leading Windows Platform Networking Publication, grew 70% in readership according to the recently released Intelliquest CIMS v10.0 study. This readership growth led all magazines in the study, including consumer titles, and continues to demonstrate the investment in the circulation strategy, content, and delivery methods.

“We are thrilled to see this fantastic year-over-year growth, but aren’t really surprised by it,” said Henry Allain, Publisher. “We pour an incredible amount of time and attention into the magazine and it simply proves that we are moving in the right direction and doing the right things.”

In addition to the surge in readership, Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine continues to lead the category in reader loyalty, readers paying attention to advertising, and reading 75% or more of each issue.

“I think what I am most impressed with is the readership metrics, how people read and use the magazine,” said Allain. “Dian Schaffhauser, our Editorial Director, has done an outstanding job at delivering content that our readers want, and it shows in the numbers.”

Other notable CIMS v10.0 findings show that key categories, such as influencers involved in the purchasing of technology across all product categories and influencers with authority to approve expenditures across all budget categories, have risen greatly for MCP Magazine from CIMS v9.0 to CIMS v10.0.

“In 2003 we made fantastic progress in increasing the management component of our file, and that is reflected in our June 2003 BPA Audit Statement,” Allain said. “Now, seeing the purchasing power and budget control our readers possess reflected in the CIMS results further shows how dramatically our circulation strategy has paid off for our advertisers.”
