The IT Compliance Institute (ITCi) Announces IT Compliance World, Spring 2004, in Boston, MA, May 17-19, 2004

SEATTLE, February 25, 2004 – The IT Compliance Institute (ITCi), the leading provider of education and research on the technology impacts of regulatory compliance, announced today that its inaugural educational event, IT Compliance World—Spring 2004, will be held in Boston May 17-19, 2004.

IT Compliance World—Spring 2004 provides technology professionals tasked with supporting corporate compliance initiatives with high-quality, vendor-neutral education, and an ideal forum for networking with peers. Designed to connect those in the trenches with leading compliance experts and practitioners, ITCi educational events facilitate the sharing of real-world experience, industry best practices, and lessons learned. IT Compliance World will equip attendees with tools and techniques that can be applied immediately to save time and money and help organizations avoid the legal consequences of noncompliance.

“Emerging government regulations are being enacted rapidly and there is no end in sight. At the core of almost every significant new rule are requirements that impact IT planning and operations,” said Adrian Bowles, ITCi Director of Education and Research. “At ITCi, our goal is simple: provide resources for IT professionals—regardless of the vertical market or geographic basis of their firms—so they get the information they need to make informed decisions about complex compliance issues.”

This three-day conference features a robust agenda with insightful keynote presentations from respected industry experts Marc Rotenberg, Executive Director of EPIC.org, and Bradford C. Brown, Chairman of the National Center for Technology and Law. Mr. Rotenberg’s Monday keynote entitled “Emerging Privacy Issues: From Internet Privacy to RFID and Biometric Identification and Beyond,” will explore a framework for understanding and assessing privacy challenges.
