Redmondmag.com Wins Ozzie Award for Best Site Design


Irvine, Calif. -- Redmond magazine’s Web site, Redmondmag.com, won an Ozzie award for Best Site Design at the 2005 Folio Show on Tuesday.

The site was honored in the business-to-business category, where it took the Bronze level of the award.

Redmond magazine, a 101communications publication, is the leading independent publication for the Microsoft IT community. Its Web site features content from the magazine as well as daily news, exclusive columns and a wide variety of ways for readers to interact with each other.

“With the hundreds of Web sites eligible for this award, we’re thrilled that the Ozzie judges selected Redmondmag.com for this honor,” said Henry Allain, group publisher of 101communication’s Redmond Media Group.

Redmondmag.com was designed by Senior Web Developer Rita Zurcher. It launched in Oct. 2004 under the direction of Redmond Editor in Chief Doug Barney and Becky Nagel, site editor.

Folio’s Ozzie Awards ceremony was held Nov. 1 in New York City. The annual awards are given in recognition of excellence in magazine design as well as publications’ online counterparts.
