Irvine, CA, November 1, 2005 - Redmond magazine, the Independent Voice of the Microsoft IT Community, is pleased to announce that Mary Jo Foley, editor of MICROSOFT WATCH, has signed on as Redmond’s new back page columnist.

Foley will continue her gig as editor of Ziff Davis’ Microsoft Watch Web site and accompanying newsletter. “MICROSOFT WATCH is a unique, independent and timely email newsletter about one of the most influential and dominant technology companies in history,” the www.microsoft-watch.com Web site explains.

Foley is an award-winning reporter and editor, who has covered technology for 22 years. For the past dozen, she has focused expressly on covering Microsoft. Foley has watched Microsoft for eWeek, CNet/ZDNet and Baseline Magazine. For the past three years, she edited the Ziff Davis Microsoft Watch Web site (www.microsoft-watch.com) and accompanying paid newsletter. She is a frequent commentator on TV, radio and other venues on Microsoft’s people, products and strategies.

“There’s never a shortage of topics upon which to comment when it comes to Microsoft,” said Foley. “I’m looking forward to having another outlet, Redmond magazine, to share my two cents on the Redmondians.”
