Ed Scannell, an Award-Winning Journalist, Has Been Named Editor of Redmond Magazine.


Irvine, CA, May 9, 2006 -- Scannell, who most recently worked as Senior Editor, Technology, for VAR Business magazine, has been a technology journalist for more than 26 years at publications such as Infoworld and Computerworld, where he served as Editor at Large. In that role, Scannell focused on Microsoft and IBM, writing news, features, columns and blogs for both print and online, twice winning awards for best news story of the year from the Computer Press Association.

In his new role, Scannell will oversee the editorial operation and direction of the magazine as well as report and write in-depth features and news analysis stories.
