Citrix Updating CCA XP Exam

5/14/2003 -- Citrix confirmed to CertCities.com earlier this month that it's revamping its Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) exam Citrix MetaFrame XP 1.0 for Windows (220).

The new exam, 221, will enter beta testing on Friday.

"220 is MetaFrame XP without Feature Release," said a Citrix spokesperson when asked how the content will differ between the two exams. "In other words, this exam covers only the components that were released when the product was first launched. Exam 221 will be MetaFrame XP with Feature Release 1, 2 and 3. This exam covers all of the details included in exam 220 and goes beyond by focusing on the updated features that came after MetaFrame XP was released to manufacture."

According to the spokesperson, once the beta analysis is complete, both versions will be available simultaneously for one month, then 221 will permanently replace 220.

The spokesperson did not say when the exam would go live. Details about participating in the beta were not immediately available on Citrix's Web site, and the 221 exam has yet to appear on the site's list of exams.

8/16/03: Anonymous says: This is sooo bullshit. I only found out yesterday morning about this test, and failed the stupid thing. Bollocks I tell you!!
8/26/03: Anonymous says: That's it ... You’re just screwing around, I’m not touching or promoting Citrix again.
9/4/03: KiX from Melbourne says: Test is harder than everybody thinks. So study!!!
9/15/03: Anonymous says: Learncitrix.com has a practice exam out...
9/18/03: Anonymous says: What is really stupid from citrix is that they create an exam with FR2 at the same time FR3 is already on the market for 3 months. Do you know how irritating it is when you work with FR3 and have to study for FR2.....
10/17/03: Anonymous says: I agree totally!!!
11/7/03: Anonymous says: LOL. Citrix wont be around after FR4, so said the trainer on teh Admin course (SR2). He tried win'2003 server and found terminal server to be (nearly) as good as citrix functionality.
11/28/03: Anonymous says: I can't find the FR3 exam anywhere. Try to search on Citrix it returns nothing. No-one has courses for it. FR2 exam is going to be discontinued and FR3 courses can not be found
12/9/03: Anonymous says: It's not so easy to find any sort of information /dumps or whatever to decide atleast to start some sort of preparation, it's a kind anoying compare to other certifications. Now we don't get details on FR3, topics covered in exam etc. questions will be from 1000 feet depth, Idon't know how many people are able to cope up with these neverending FR's.
